Warm Holiday greetings my sweet friends! Im excited to partcipate in Miss Karla’s "What I love about my holiday home party". Christmas is such a gorgeous time of year and there is nothing more fun and festive than decorating your home with all your holiday treasures (new & old).
Grap a cup of eggnog (spike it if you wish! wink! ) and let the tour begin.
What I love about my holiday home is every room I decorate has it’s own theme. I LOVE all different types of decorated trees and colors. My tour will start in my cottage kitchen. The theme for this room is vintage red and green. I have a small but ever growing collection of santa’s and snowmen. To me this is my FUN holiday decor. My son especially loves the kitchen. 🙂
This is one of my favorite sweet displays in my kitchen. Grant loves the vintage Santa sleigh and elfs.
If any of you have small children you might have heard of the new book called the "Elf on the Shelf". It’s a Christmas book that comes with a elf doll. The elf is apparently Santa’s "eye’s and ear’s" and watches the children all day and reports back to Santa every night whether you’ve been naughty or nice. Everyday we move the elf to a new spot in our house. My son still doesn’t know what to think of him. For instance, if he’s not eating his dinner, we tell him that the elf is watching him, and he better eat or the elf is going to tell Santa. hee! hee! Here’s the elf hanging out in my pot rack.
Being that I have an older home I have lots of hallways and little nooks throughout. It’s the perfect place to dress up the small cozy spaces with warm holiday glows.
I have a small tree in my bedroom with which I decorate with my son’s and daughter’s first Christmas ornaments. It’s all pink and blue.
This magical and cozy room is my living/den. This style is more darker and formal and is decorated more cottage victorian. I just love sitting on my big comfy sofa with feet piled up watching my favorite holiday movie "A Christmas Story" (Yes! The TV is behind the big mirrored armoire), and with the tree and candles lite all throughtout the room.
Fireplace mantel. The heart of the room. 🙂
I LOVE my cherubs! This was a Christmas gift from my hubby two years ago.
Reflections in the mirror…..
Now! I haved saved the BEST FOR LAST!!!!! This room is my dining room and I call it’s theme "Sugar Plum Fairy". It’s aaaaallllll sugary sweet! I pour my heart and soul into decorating this room for the holidays. Everytime I step foot into it I cant help but smile. 🙂
A festive treat for the eyes!!!!
