BIG New Years NEWS!!!!
Happy New Years! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years and had an opportunity to enjoy a bit of down time after the holiday rush. If your much like me the start of a New Year means a brand new calendar/planner, a scribbled list of things I want to do, and goals I want to accomplish.
One of those BIG goals is to have another incredible & successful art event like En Le Jardin. My next upcomming event Petticoats & Parasols will be here before I know it. I've got the ball rolling, and all the planning of the beautiful, intimate, and small details are under way.
Im very fortunate that my New Years has started off with a BANG! I have some EXCITING NEWS that I am thrilled to share with you all!!!!
Yes! Jo Packham of Where Women Create will be the guest keynote speaker at Petticoats & Parasols.
I cannot tell you how ELATED I am! I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Jo at Silver Bella. Her speech left us in happy tears and our creative soul's inspired & renewed!
The CHERRY ON TOP is not only will she be our guest speaker, but she will be shooting the event for an upcomming issue of Where Women Create.
I approached an idea to Jo that not only can studios and work spaces be visually inspiring to us readers, but so can the beautiful outdoors surroundings in which we create in. Jo's response….."Yes..I agree!"
Im still pinching myself! To have this opportunity to be included and featured among so many talented artist that I have admired and looked up to is a DREAM! We all have our personal story and journey in our artistic endeavours. I have a passion for creating my whimsical artwork, and after last year discovered that I love and enjoy hosting unique and beautiful art workshop events for us like-minded women who come together in friendship and to fill our creative souls.
I am so honored to have Jo Packham speak and spend time with us gals in beautiful historic Savannah!

First I would like to congratulate you on your exciting news for 2010! What a way to start the New Year.
I have been blogging for a year now, and you were one of my favourites when I started “surfing”. I probably should have left more comments, but I didn’t know how important it was. Sugar, sugar is another blog candy.
You have no idea how you make me smile, sit back, and think how fun it would be to play with all your treasures. I remember sooo many of your little toppers and other cutties. I have my own kind of fun painting everything pink.

Oh my, I am so unbelievably blessed to be a part of this event Jenn! You are a true dear friend to me, that without blogging who knows if we would have ever meet and kindled a relationship. Now I am counting the days to see you and the other fabulous ladies that are joining us. I feel like I will be returning home to see family! And now with Jo cooming as well, I am even more excited. Thanks so much for your lovely compliment regarding my china. I actaully purchased most pieces on the internet. Some at antique shops. You can do a search on Ebay, or google the pattern name and see what websites come up and who sells them. Good luck!!! Jenn

My daughter went to school outside of NYC and I wasn’t aware of any of the wonderful places in NYC at the time. I am a little sad thinking of all the place I could have seen each time I visited. This was only ten years ago but before I knew this wonderful world existed!
