Eight years today……..
Eight years ago today, my husband Curtis and I said our "I Do's". We exchanged our vows, had our first dance to Etta James, and had a super blow-out party afterwards.
I sat down early this morning and pulled out the wedding album and honeymoon photos so I could take a walk down memory lane and reminisce our big day together. WOW! It's amazing all the feelings and emotions come flooding back when flipping page by page.
I married my best friend in Savannah,GA
That city will always have a special place in my heart.
We spent two weeks touring Italy on our honeymoon. It doesn't get more romantic than that!
Here we are enjoying a gondola ride in Venice. Check out the super pointy boots I am wearing. I bought them in Rome, and still have them tucked away in my closet to this day. I don't wear them any longer, but I can't bring myself to part with them either. ๐
Before Italy I could NOT get my husband to drink red wine. How can you visit Italy and not drink red wine? It's like going to Paris and not visiting the Eiffel tower. It's a must!
I didn't take much convincing, and now he prefers red over white. Good man!
Life is super busy these days for the both of us, and children and work take up a majority of our time. However, tonight it will just be the two of us dining and celebrating eight years together at one of our longtime favorite restaurants. I look forward to toasting over champagne and enjoy each other's company.
Later tonight I might even torcher him and pull out the video of our wedding day.
God love him…my husband is a huge SAP! He will cry at commercials at the drop
of a hat. That's why I love him so much. He's a huge teddy bear with big heart!

I know I am kindof weird but this makes me think of something I think about all the time… when we are old we will hopefully look out upon our children, their spouses, and our grandchildren and possibly their children… I always find it amazing that so many people will come from the beginning love of just 2 people. We have so many years to look forward to!! You know what i mean?

Happy anniversary! You two have not aged one day. Jeff and I also did a 2 week Italy honeymoon. Fabulous! We plan to go back for our 10 year anniversary which is only 5 years away…
