This is a very dear and special blog post to me.

I can’t believe 10 years ago I started my blog ,and in my very first newbie post I mentioned my daughter Vivian who at the time was only five months old.

Fast forward ten years and here she is celebrating her 10th Birthday!

Wow… it just seemed like yesterday I brought her home from the hospital and now she is growing up to be a beautiful young lady.

To celebrate, Vivian wanted a Unicorn theme birthday slumber party.

I purchased a small 10×10 pink tent to set up in the yard so we could have the party outdoors but unfortunately it rained so we moved it indoors to my dining room.

I worked my decorating skills to make it look magical and festive!

For a fun birthday idea the girls all made DIY beaded unicorn stretch bracelets.

With a little of my assistance and instruction the girls made these darling bracelets.

Best Friends!

I had a small party bump with the cake.

I found a gorgeous unicorn cake on Pinterest that I was excited to duplicate and have made for Vivi’s party.

I hired a local gal to custom make her cake, but unfortunately she got ill the day before the party and was unable to make it.

Needless to say I was scrambling to come up with a last minute cake.

I had less than 24 hours till the party.

I ran to the store, ordered a simple 8″ round cake with pink roses.

I then spent the evening making a glittery unicorn cake topper.

The cake needed something pretty and special.

Lastly, I added tons of fresh flowers.

For being a fast last minute scramble I think the cake turned out lovely.

Make a WISH!

Her Dad and I are so proud of the strong, outgoing, sweet natured young lady she is growing up to be.

She has filled our hearts overwhelmingly with so much love and joy!
