HAPPY NEW YEARS my sweet friends!!!! Can you believe another year has flown by and now it's time to RING IN the New Year for 2009???
I've been very fortunate to have had a blessed and wonderful 2008! I know setting New Years resolutions is always a "must do" this time of year. I myself, dont tend to make them because 9 times out of 10 we really dont keep to them. However I do reflect on the little things within myself that I strive to improve and work on. So here are a few little things I really want to work and focus on.
1. Spend one on one quality time with each of my children. Over the Christmas holidays I took a break from "everything" and made special one on one time with each of my children. I always "overload" myself with so many projects and "to do" list that I sometimes get so caught up and dont make the "extra" quality time with each of my children. We play as a "group", but not one on one. Being Grant my son is older I could really tell he enjoyed his special time with "Mommy". Time as we all know flies, and I need to remind myself to "slow down" and enjoy this time with my children. They will be grown and independent in a blink of an eye!
2. I want to challange myself with new creative projects! I AM working on a new project which is a bit "Ssh Ssh" right now. It's something I've never done before, but Im really excited to try for the first time. You'll find out more down the road. ๐
3. Spend more time outdoors. Plain and simple. I dont do this enough! Im indoors majority time. I use to work on my garden room all the time and plant flowers and I've neglected alot of that over the year. Being outside on a gorgeous day is so theraputic for me as Im sure it is for many. We just had a playground set up and built for my children in our backyard so that will be the perfect opportunity to spend more time outdoors and with the kids.
Last but not least….
4. Live for the moment. Im a structured planner, I always work best on a routine. I want to chip away some of those walls and be a bit more spontaneous. When you have small children routine is a MUST! I tend to feel more uptight because I want everything to run smoothly and just perfect. That can be internally stressful! I want to relax a bit more and enjoy the moment and dont strive for everything to be just "so". ๐
Now….Let's get this party started and on the way!!!!
I want to wish you ALL a HAPPY & PROSPEROUS 2009!!!!!!! I hope this new year will bring wonderful new changes to our lives and to our country.
CHEERS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 2009 Jenn!
Spending individual time with your kids is special. As mine ar 16 and 21 they no longer wish for this quality time. Sad but oh so true. The time sure does fly. Cheers for the New Year,
Julie

Happy new years sweetie!! I totally agree with you..I don’t tend to keep the “resolutions” I make, but I do have things I want to work on this year ๐ Spending time with the kiddos is definatly a priority!! ๐ Have a great day!! xoxo!!!! Britt ๐
Hi Miss Jenn!
Your list of what you would like to embrace more in the new year is delightful.
You’re so right that time flies and each special one on one moment with Grant and Miss Vivi is so meaningful.
It’s hard to fit everything in isn’t it?
Your wish to smell the roses and enjoy your family, nature and the outdoors and become softer with your own expectations on yourself is really key to living a more present and aware daily life.
I think the entire world needs to slow down and just be! I know I do!
Happiest of New Year’s to you and an enriching year ahead for you and your family.
Tina
These are some great resolutions Jenn. I’m with you in that I never make them but you definitely have some good ones! Happy New Year.

Jenn, Happy New Year!!! i hope 2009 is a wonderful year for you…i can’t wait to hear what your secret is:)
Hi Jenn,
I agree with you! I plan to make many changes this new year. I really want to have more one on one time with each of my children. I also want to slow down some and just BREATHE. Time goes by so fast and I stay too busy. It has really been stressing me out. I know this year will be a better year! Come visit me sometimes. I had a pink and white Christmas tree this year that I bet you would like. Come look at it.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Happy New Year, Jen!! May 2009 bring you everything you are dreaming of!

HI Jenn, those are good resolutions if you want to call them resolutions.. I dont make them either.. I do have a self improvement plan for this year though!!
anyways, being that my kids are grown and I can look back now, I can tell you you are right, to be more spontaneous and to enjoy as much time with them as possible are great plans, now if I could go back, Id do one more thing, and thats keep a daily journal about about them. I find now that I cant remember lots of little things that I wish I could remember. and some of the things I do remember, like funny things they said, I cant remember which one said it!!
in any case… Happy new year!
hugs

Those could be my resolutions, too! Perfect. Big hugs to you and I’m raising my glass to your happiness and success in 2009! love you!
Hi Jenn, Happy New Year to you and your sweet family. I so totally agree with you on spending more memorable moments with the little ones. Cherish those precious moments with them because they sure do grow up toooo to fast.. I’m sure doing it with my girls. My oldest daughter is 20 and my son is 15 and then I started again my little ones are 4 and 3 and enjoying my kids is my priority. All of them need their special attention. Life is to short and the house will always be messy with little young ones and it’s ok. Enjoy this wonderful New Year 2009.

Here’s to 2009!
I’m excited about the future!!

Striving to spend more one on one time with each of your children is a great resolution for the new year. Having only one child, I never had to split my time and have treasured all of our “girl time” that we’ve spent together. She graduates from high school this spring and I’ll miss our girl’s nights when she heads off to college……they will become even more special as they become less frequent. The time together is priceless.
Wishing you a new year full of joy, love, and inspiration!

Jenn, Happy New Year to all of you. I have loved seeing your adventures and creations this past year. You are truly amazing, as all the other ladies that follow your blog. Your children are so beautiful and you are truly blessed. Hugs, Pat
Happy New Year! I am so glad we met it sure is fun visiting your blog. You do a Wonderful Job. And I love your Creations!
Happy New Year sweet Jenn!
Jenn! happy new year to you and your family as well! It will be great this year…hopefully I will stay cancer free! ๐ Come by and say hello soon!
Happy New Year! I too have similar goals this year although I only have 1 little one who is 15mos. She is the light of my life and having struggled many years for a family, and having a very hectic holiday decided it was okay to have the house a mess, not finish a project, etc to spend time with my sweet as she will be a grown up before I know it!
I know about that structure and internal stress—we’ve got to let that go ๐

Happy New Year Miss Jenn! I love your blog and your beautiful creations. The eye candy reminds me of treasures I used to see in my grandmothers “hope” chest and fibber mcgee drawers. Look forward to using the wonderful inspiration from your blog to begin spending more time actually being creative and less time just thinking about it and collecting supplies.
Hi Jenn,
I was just over at Cerri’s Little Pink Studio and I followed a path sprinkled with lot’s of pink and silver glitter and here I am!
I have had so much fun reading your blog. Wow, you are one talented glittery girl! I have not an ounce of talent in the art department but I do so love to look at all the “pretties” that Cerri creates. I decided tonight that I needed to see some pink lovelies and I clicked on your blog title on Cerri’s list and thirty minutes later I was in a Pink Wonderland! Isn’t it amazing how pink can make you feel so happy?
May I add you to my favorites list? I know my sister Laurie and my mother will drool when they see your blog. I loved all the pictures too. That NYC visit must have been so wonderful.
Well, I’d better be getting to bed. I’ll be dreaming about glitter and tulle tonight I’m sure!
Warmly,
Deanna ๐
Happy New Year Twinkle!
I think your resolution to spend more time outside is GREAT. It is one of mine also. I think I completely missed enjoying my garden and my flowers last summer. Hopefully I will tend to my babies better this year.
