New Year always brings fresh beginnings.
It’s always a great feeling to clean, organize, and de-clutter the home.
By the end of the year, and the entire month of December my office looks like a bomb went off!
Papers, receipts, cards, and list lying everywhere.
With cleaning products in hand, I take down everything and clean the shelves top to bottom.
Then, I store important papers away in folders and hide things like unattractive computer cables, in the pretty storage boxes which I’ve found at Target, Hobby Lobby, and TJ Maxx.
The little open cubbyhole in the middle of the desk is where I store my camera and photography equipment.
It’s not very attractive to look at, so I cut a layer of tulle from a petticoat skirt and used sealah tape to adhere to the desk which then covers all of the equipment.
It’s pretty and functional.
I also like to use vintage suitcases not only for decor but to hold papers, and important office items.
Now that the office is clean and organized I can get focused on starting some new creative goals that I want to accomplish this year.
Do you clean and organize your home every new year? Do you have any great tips to share?
I would love to hear!
XO,
Jenn

First I must tell you, love what you have done. I hope my spaces look as charming and functional as yours when I get it all done! I am cleaning, tossing, refiling, and moving computers, laptops and my “creating” supplies. Huge project. I had to start with the paper mess first. Couldn’t see my desk! So first with all there is to do is to keep a trash can near. Honestly, the paper files are overwhelming and keeps me from the fun stuff. Feeling inspired and energized.
Everything looks so beautiful! You have inspired me to clean out my studio now! I am really going to try to make a conscious effort to put things back where they belong every day when I close up the Pixie Factory! Thank you for the motivation! Love ya Doll! xoxo
It all looks so lovely! Happy New Year!
