I Scream….You scream….We all scream for ICE CREAM!!! Hello friends!Welcome to my Ice Cream Social! So glad you could drop by! This is NATIONAL Ice Cream month and in celebration Im excited to share with you some of my favorite childhood ice cream memories, and photos.
It's REALLY hard to choose a favorite ice cream flavor, because I love so many!!!! However, if I was stranded on a desert island and could have only one choice of flavor it would have to be Baskin Robins Rocky Road ice cream! YUM!!!!!!!
A special fond childhood memory I have is the times I would spend the night at my grandparents house in the country. Early Saturday's my Grandpa would take me to a local hardware shop named "Patricks" that was located off an old dirt road. Patricks was an old country hardware store and purina feedmill. Nothing fancy or pretty. It had an old screen front door, and a musty basement scent to it. I distinctly remember the men that worked there all wore denim overalls. My grandpa was a regular customer and he always enjoyed taking me with him to pick up his supplies, and perhaps show off his graddaughter. hee! hee! Even tho Patricks was a hardware store, inside they had a little ice cream freezer with about 6 flavors to choose from. It became a tradition that everytime my Grandpa took me to Patricks hardware store I would get a chocolate ice cream cone. I was the HAPPIEST little girl everytime he took me, because I knew I was going to get my ice cream.
Here I am wearing the chocolate ice cream. tee! hee!
I wanted to make this social fun for the kids so I got a bit creative. 😉
Grant got a "circus theme" ice cream.
Yummm….sugar wafers!!!
Grant is ready to "dig in".
Are we having fun yet?????
Vivi needed to have something a bit girlie and extra sweet.
Hmmm…where do I start???
YUMMY!!!!!!
HIP! HIP! HOORAY! We love ice cream!!!!
Of course cute little furry animals like Ice Cream.
My sweet fur babies Coco and Lulu Belle are patiently waiting to enjoy their ice cream and milkbone.
"Hurry up with the pictures Mom!!!"
It's starting to melt!
Brainfreeze!!!!
"That was good Mom!!!"
My vintage planters have come into good use for serving ice cream. How sweet is this? You could host a baby shower and serve ice cream out of vintage baby planters.
To me nothing beats a classic Hot Fudge Sundae.
