I once again had the fabulous opportunity of attending my 3rd Kim Caldwell Artistic Affaire workshop. Moulin Rouge was the themed event, and boy did we have an amazing time kicking up our can can skirts!
The beautiful hostess herself.
If you've never attended one of Kim's event you are sadly missing out! Kim goes all out!! The details and decorations are all TDF!!!
My weekend kicked off with a fun day visit with Christine, Jessi, and Sherry.
Christine took us to Downtown LA for lunch at Bottega Louie's.
Oh my….what a nice surprise. It was a pastel sweetland!
Pretty Miss Sherry
We got the chance to meet Jessica Louise who is a dear friend of Christine's.
Jessica is totally adorable!
After lunch we went to the garment district and scrounged for vintage trim and millinery.
Also a quick stop into Revival Vintage for beautiful vintage clothes and accessories.
Thursday was the main event and the official Moulin Rouge kickoff.
The evening started with a cocktail party hosted by Cheryl Stoneham and Joy Campbell.

It was nice to meet Sherry Baldy. Her designs are beautiful and fanciful.
Adore Candice Carpenter of Peacoats & Partyhats.
Her table was chalk full of the sweetest colorful creations.
I was SO SO happy to see Jenny again. How adorable is she???
Kim surprised us and had LA photo party set up to take all the Can Can girls photos.
It was a blast!
Ooh la la!
Super cute Karla and Jessi
Over the course of the weekend we created the most fabulous projects!
Some were a bit challenging for me since Im not a jewelry maker and sewer. However, I did learn a few new tricks and techniques which Im super happy about!
Our first class was taught by Shea Fragoso and her lovely mother Debbie Murray.
"Tres Jolie"
The other lovely instructors and projects were:
Jenny Heid and Aaron Nieradka
Kerry Lynn Yeary
Im 80% finished with the project. My project is in the colors of pink, black, and cream.
Colleen Moody
I can't believe I don't have a full photo of the project, but this how my Can Can girl turned out.
She's flirty in her feather skirt!
I also *must* share with you this bunny doll that Colleen made that I am lusting after.
The fashionista Christine taught a make in take project.
My wonderful table peeps!
Posing by the Windmill
This is a glamourous Parisian doll clock I made to be raffled off.

Sunday was the Moulin Rouge Flea Market Expedition.
Unfortunately it was cold wet and rainy, but that did not dampen our spirits!
First stop was the Long Beach Flea Market and afterwards we rolled down the highway to the seaside area of Ocean Beach and San Diego.
We visited Debi Beard's Out of the Blue, and we lucked out because it was the monthly Mermaid Mercantile.
Amazing outdoor vendors!
Kim trying on an outfit.
Pretty treasures everywhere!
While shopping I met a furry friend. Her name is Bella and she is a therapy dog. She goes to the hospitals to visit sick children. The owner told me she is a golden Labradoodle.
Next stop was Vignettes.
***SWOON***
What a shop!!!
The shop was stunning!!!
Curio cabinets were full of the beautiful vintage pretties, sparkles, and treasures!
TDF!!!
I was excited to get the opportunity to meet Joy Gabler of The Vintage Rabbit. She had a gorgeous spread of yummy desserts and drinks waiting for us inside her vendor booth.
Jenny and Aaron
This about sums up my shopping experience at Vignettes.
Our last stop was Paper Tales where I sadly did not take any photos. The shop is charming but quite little and I was on a mission to shop!
Michelle White's Paper Tales is every scrapbook and paper artist DREAM!!!
However, Im thrilled to have finally me the super sweet Helle Greer. She was a wonderful hostess and passed out pizza to all the hungry guest.
After a long day of shopping we kicked back on the bus and finished watching the entertaining and hot movie
Burlesque
Kim OUTDID herself again! There are so many more things I want to share. Such as all the gifts and swaps that were received. It was overflowing and such beautiful eye candy!!
Thank you Kim for an AMAZING weekend!!
Im already looking forward to the next one!
