My husband and I returned from a long weekend getaway to Seaside, FL.
We celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary by the sea and sand.
We rented a condo that had an amazing view.
Our balcony overlooked the town square and had beautiful views of the gulf.
We picked the perfect time to come to the beach. The weather was sunny and temp's were in the low 80's. Also the Art Quest annual art event took place the same weekend.
I really enjoyed meeting the talented artist and seeing the different types of art mediums and creations.
We stayed in one of the condos directly above Crush wine bar.
Hee! hee! We really lucked out! Didn't have to walk far to enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Seaside is a charming beach community.
Pastel candy colored beach homes, quaint little post office, mini airstream restaurants, boutiques, restaurants, and a town center full of live music and entertainment.
Pink + Yellow= 🙂
Saturday morning we enjoyed bike riding thru the charming streets of Seaside and it's nearby neighborhood Water Color.
Wouldn't you just LOVE to have a street named this?
We discovered bike paths, lakes, and gardens.
I discovered a pink golf cart. 🙂
Some photos I took while cruising.
There's nothing quite like fresh seafood. We had our fair share over the weekend.
Lobster PoBoy
I can't remember the last time I had a Coca Cola. It's been years!
I was craving one.
So I gave in. 😉
Several of the restaurants had four legged friends hanging out with their owners.
This cutie was sitting next to me.
The best part of visiting the gulf coast aka "Emerald Isle" is the white sandy beaches and emerald blue water.
Felt great laying out, reading a book, and sinking my feet into the soft sand.
A perfect way to end a day and the weekend.
We made it home Sunday afternoon in time to spend it with my children for Mother's Day.
Hugs and Kisses were waiting for me when I got home. 🙂
The celebrations doesn't quite end there…..
This weekend Im throwing a big themed 50th birthday party for my husband.
I'll be sure to take lots of pics to share.
Hopefully things will slow down soon. I miss tinkering in my studio and creating things more than anything. Kids are almost out for summer, and Im in the process of moving into my new studio while also working on my Oct event details.
Whew…a bit exhausting. hee! hee! I think another beach trip might be needed sooner than later. 😉
Enjoy your week!
Love to you sweet friends!
