Welcome Friends and Welcome Fall!!!!
The lazy days of summer has left us, and the beautiful Fall crisp days are upon us now. Which means….the leaves will be changing their color soon, pumpkin patches are full, fall carnivals to attend, cooler & milder weather, sweaters and boots, and yummy apple cider!
This past weekend I attended the Crabapple Antique & Arts Fall festival located in North Atlanta. It was a PERFECT fall day for this festival.
The lovely & sweet Kris Hurst was a first time Vendor at the festival and her booth was FULL of her Halloween artwork. Oh my heavens what an EYE full! Her booth was NON STOP busy!!! YAY for Kris!! When I found out that Kris was going to be a vendor that "sealed the deal". I wanted to attend and support her 100%!
A sneek peek at her stuff.
I purchased one of Kris's Halloween books.
Sweet & smiling Kris.
Kris's good friend Marilyn with whom I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting at my En Le Jardin event also was a vendor. I just adore Marilyn! She has the most upbeat bubbly personality. You can't help but giggle and smile when you're around her.
She made the CUTEST dressy skeleton girl pins.
Another fabulous and super kind vendor was Jo Ann Rogers. She has the most beautiful TDF hand dyed silk ribbon and velvets. She hand dye's them all her self. I was drooling over the scrumptious colors she had displayed.
I bought several yards of the aqua velvet.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Jocelyn O'Gorman of The Painted Fern. Jocelyn will be attending Silver Bella this year. So it was great to have the opportunity to meet her beforehand.
While walking around and checking out all the wonderful antiques and artwork I stumbled upon this FABULOUSLY decorated spot.
Witches boots. Hee! Hee! So cute!
How FAB is this chair??? It's in it's original orange painted patina. I fell in love and bought it to display in my home for Halloween.
What a small world it is!!!! To my huge surprise this lovely vendor is Beverly Norris of Cottage Farm Chic. She too will be attending Silver Bella workshop classes AND will be a vendor as well. Omigosh!!! For those that are attending Silver Bella you are going to love her pieces.
While browsing I found this adorable set of embroidered squares. I thought I would find some inexpensive cream colored pillows and attempt to sew these adorable squares on the pillows and embellish. If that fails, than I'll just use my trusty fabric glue. They would look so cute displayed during the fall months.
Darling!!!
Now that Im getting in the spirit of decorating my home for the fall season I displayed this vintage beauty in my home. Her name is Miss Automone Coquette. She is lovingly made by my sweet friend Christine Rose Elle.
Now that Fall is "officially" here I've become inspired to get creative and make something to celebrate the spirit of the season!
A Fall-Halloween vintage gumball assemblage titled "HOOTAWEEN".
This cute little fella is a vintage ceramic owl that LIGHTS UP!!! YEP! His little round eyes glow and pegged orange light brite belly glows at the flick of a switch!
Tee! Hee! He's so cute!
Inside the glass gumball dome is Big Sister Katie taking her little Sister Sally Trick- Or-Treating.
The gumball machine is decorated in glittery rich colors of red, orange, gold, and browns.
Miss Katie & little squirrel.
Little Sister Sally is dressed as a bunny rabbit.
This whimsical one of a kind piece "HOOTAWEEN" is now available in my Etsy shop.

hey Jenn, the festival looks as though there was tons of great stuff!! Your newest creation is so adorable!
Thanks Vivian!!! Grant is going as a Power Ranger and Vivi is going to be Dorothy. Grant tried REAL hard to have me dress up Vivi as a pink power ranger and I said “No”. Girls are not power rangers. ๐ I cant wait to dress Vivi up as Dorothy. However the ironic thing is she’s never seen the Wizard of Oz. LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO
A scrumptious post Sweet Jenn! I have sooo been in the mood for fall. It was a nice, cool day today and it’s actually really chilly right now. I am loving it! I hung my little googly-eyed skeleton on my front door and put ribbons and daisies on her head (she needed a little pretty-ing up!).
Hope you’re having a wonderful week. Wish I could had gone to the Fall-fest with you! Looks like great fun.

Oh wow Jen, I was taken with your photos from the ‘fair’ and those vendor displays are wonderful but then I saw your assemblage piece and am blown away! I don’t usually like the Halloween thing ( we don’t tend to celebrate here in Australia as much) but your Halloween style is gorgeous!! That owl is amazing….now I am going to hold my breath and visit your Etsy store.
Thanks for sharing…

Hi Jennifer,
Looks like as fabulous street fair. Hubby and I went to one in a nearby town. They don’t have vendors like these though. Whoo whoo!!! I have just recently discovered Kris Hursts blog. She is one of my favorites. I have to agree, her stuff is awesome. Now, I am a pink girlie, girl like you, but I love her stuff! That chair is too cute. Love the gumball machine makeover. May I ask what the little dolls inside are called? I have one i got from somewhere, and I am looking for more on e-bay, but I don’t know what they are called. It is porcelain, hard and stiff.
Thanks for any info Jenn. ๐
Debbie
