Hello my sweet & lovely friends! My hubby and I just got back from a long weekend of visting our friends that have a second home in St. Augustine,FL.
This is our second time staying at their GORGEOUS home that overlooks the inner coastal waterway and downtown St. Augustine. AMAZING views! I MUST give you a little tour. I was "oooh’ing & aaah’ing" the first time I stepped into this house. Come on! Let me give you a little tour. 🙂
Back of the house
Beautiful pool & spa
View of downtown St. Augustine from the house.
Beautiful sunset skies.
I must give you a sneak peek of the inside. They just moved in so they have not finished decorating, but I just had to get a few pics for show and tell. 🙂
I was in AWE of their dining room chandelier. I kept insisting that we leave the lights on because it was just soooo sparkley and stunning to look at.
The master bath chandelier was Italian Capodimonte. SWOON!!!!
Steve & Renee are major art lovers and have collections of their favorite artist paintings all throughout the house. Well, Friday evening one of the local art galleries in St. Augustine hosted a private invite only show and four course dinner and wine pairing in honor of the artist Anne Packard. She resides in Maine, and is known for her oil paintings of boats, beaches, ocean, and paintings of Cape Cod.
Renee & Steve own several of her paintings and Curtis and I felt very honored to attend as their guest.
This is Renee and I standing in front of one of Anne’s paintings titled "Two Dories".
Here is the painting in better lighting, and without me & Renee standing right in front of it.
Unfortunatley, I wasn’t able to take pictures of the inside of the gallery. It was a major "No-No". I would have loved to have shared with you the yummy champagne cocktails, food, artwork, and decor. We had a fantastic evening. We met Mrs. Anne Packard herself. She is 75 years old and is very eccentric and fiesty! We found out that the news show 60 minutes is doing a feature piece on Anne Packard and it will air sometime in October. Very cool!!!
Saturday turned out to be drizzling, overcast, cold, and yucky! A perfect day to hang out, drink wine, watch movies, and take it easy.
My hubby decided to try and catch a few fish. Poor thing! He had no luck that day!
While he was fishing. I was hanging out by the fire with my wine and Squirt the Jack Russell.
She was a little chilly and decided she needed to warm up. 😉
We ended up staying indoors that night watching movies. Of course we watched the movie "300". Total guy flick. Afterwards, we watch "Good Fellas". Loooove mob movies! Last we watched "Oceans 13" DROOOOOOLLLL!!!!
Ok…now to some fun and SUPER sweet goodies. I want to thank Karla from Sugar Bear Designs for this incredibly sweet and lovely heart she made me. She explained that it was inspired by my friendship with Cheryl. Awwwww……… 🙂 I LOVE it Karla! It hangs on my bedroom door. THANK YOU!!! XO
Today, when I got home from my trip. I found an unexpected package from Janae Cairns. What a SWEET & FUN surprise! I just adore this little shadowbox. Toooo cute for words!
Last, I want to share with you some pretty girlie lovelies that I have recently found for my bathroom. A whimsy hand towel that has a Victorian women wearing her corset and lace boots primping in her mirror. Notice her bottom is two red pom-pom’s. hee! hee! The middle aqua floral tin container is from AVON!!! It’s full of powder and has never been opened. I paid $5 for it! The vintage gold brush is very worn, but gorgeous. I was drawn to the Marie Antoinette face. Sooo lovely! The Bonnie Nuit french milled soaps are so delicate and pretty. and they will be displayed in my guest powder room.
That’s all for now my sweeties! Im about finished with my Valentine swap goodies, and gearing up for Easter. I shopped at Hobby Lobby the other day, and did some major wallet damage. Lots to show in my next post.
Have a wonderful, inspiring, and creative week!!!!
