This past weekend the sun was hot and it was beginning to feel like summer already. The children were begging to get outside, and do something fun. So I surprised them with a new and improved slip and slide that I bought at Target last week. The kids squeeled with delight when I showed them the box.
We wasted no time, and got it set up in the backyard.
On your mark….get set…..GO!!!!!!
Splish Splash!
Weeeeeeeeeeee….Dont fall!!!!!
Wipeout!!!!!
Double Whammy!!! Her face just cracks me up!
Once there down, they'd get back up would start all over. Run and slide. LOL!!!
While Grant kept going and would not slow down. Vivi kept stopping to drink the water. I cracked up! This was too cute and must get a photo!
So far the slip and slide is a hit. Little did I know tho' that it kills our beautiful green grass FAST!!!!!
Oh well, it's a wonderful sacrifice to give up the nice green grass for my children's laughter and enjoyment!
Ok ladies…check back in a few days! I cant wait to show you a special project I have been working on for Vivi's "big girl" room. I promise it's SUGARY SWEET!!!
Thanks for stopping by. I adore and appreciate you ALL!
Have a fabulous and SUPER CREATIVE week!

Jenn, thank you for sharing that bright spot with us. The wonder of childhood passes so quickly so don’t worry about the grass! Love the fun & what a wonderful Mommy you are to realize this. Those two are sooooooooooooooo cute. And you are right about that ruffle butt. I had boys & they had boys… no ruffles here. ENJOY EACH ONE! HUGS!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw these pictures…it’s still been SO cold up here in Michigan I’m using my electric blanket to warm my bed before I get in it and our heat JUST got turned off! Love how Viv is drinking the water!! Great pictures!!
Hi Jenn,
So much fun. It makes me remember when we used to set up th e slip and slide for the kids. I didn’t really mind the lawn thing but my dad did. I remember him trying to bring it back after a long hot summer of slip and sliding when my sisters and me were little. We had a slight hill on our front lawn so all the kids would use our slip and slide. Ouch! GREAT shots. The kids are so adorable.
Hugs,
Amada
makes me want to get into my swimming costume and join in! Fabulous action shots. My gorgeous girl would love something like that I’m sure. I’ll have to look out for one :o)

when i saw what you had bought i have to say we had one and these seem to be more fun than any of the other water games for the garden, mine loved it … but the grass … eeek …. and you found out too ! it happens so quickly 😮 but the pics are just fab, your too were having such a great time and those are the memories you want to have … priceless .. the grass comes back again rest assured … mine still ask for me to get another even though they are a lot older now … maybe for old times sake then, maybe i should have a go 🙂
Oh soooooooooooo sweet Jenn!!! I loved these photos.
Your babies are absolutely adorable! Such precious and fleeting moments in the grand scheme of things. My baby turns 21 on Sunday! It is true – these years FLY by. I am so happy that you savor these moments – AND that you share them with us.
Much love,
Kim
Jennifer the children look like they are enjoying the slip and slide. Cute picture of the ruffles on the swimsuit. And the coolness of the pictures look inviting with our hot and humid weather. Hugs, Pat
Hi Sweet Jenn,
It’s been so long since I’ve visited. Love your new header! Grant and Vivi are so darn cute. Slip n slide is always a summer tradition at our house too. Kids just can’t pass them up…even big kids!
Hugs,
Suze
I have 2 boys, so I sure do recognize that look on Grant’s face!! That first photo screams “I am boy!!”
Wow! I’m so envious right now. I wanna join the fun. They look really enjoyed you can’t miss the smile on their faces.
How fun! Now I have that slip’n’slide theme song from the 80’s stuck in my head… 🙂
