Hello sweet Belles! My lovely friends Heather and Stephenie hosted an Altered Apron Swap that I was super excited to join in on. However, I must admit I was a wee bit nervous because I dont sew, but I was up for the challange. ๐
My apron is created and handmade with love for my dear wonderful friend Miss Ginny. When I was told that I was making my apron for her I was SOOOO HAPPY! I just adore Ginny and we both love the same looks and style so I just knew she would be so much fun to create for.
I found this GORGEOUS vintage sheer mint lacey apron and adorned it with ribbons, bling, millinery, southern vintage doll head, a layer of crinoline petticoat, and sweet little whimscial bits!
I owned this vintage retro pink sweater for years. I've only worn it a handful of times because the sweater is wool and it's too itchy to wear. So, I thought why not use the gorgeous pearl trim collar for my apron.
I used it for the waistband and adorned the middle with a darling southern looking vintage doll head.
The pocket in my opinion is truly the most DARLING part of the apron! To keep with the southern theme I added a little white picket fence, birdie, and little lamb. So sweet and whimsical!!!!
Eeeek!
Here I am modeling Miss Ginny's apron.
Im really tickled with how it turned out. Especially since I dont sew! ;) EEEK! I cant wait to see Ginny's photos of her modeling her southern belle apron!
Heather and Stephenie thank you SO SO much for hosting a wonderful swap! I've really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful aprons everyone has created. You can see more photos of the pretty aprons here.
