Hi sweet friends!!! Im finally home after a long fun filled week at the New Jersey shore beach. My long time girlfriend Dawn and her family rented a beach house at Point Pleasant beach for a month long, and they invited my family and I to come up and stay with them for a week. I've never been to the Jersey Shore before so it was really exciting to experience and see a whole new area.
My children had the BEST time! We had beach time, boardwalk time, art time, and meanwhile on a few occasions Mamma managed to have some "adult time". hee! hee!
These are some fun pics I wanted to share from my trip.
Let me introduce you to the "gang". Dawn has two little girls. Grace (5), Ella (3), and Max (1).
This is the beach crew and the only way I could get them to look a the camera was to have them yell "SPONGEBOB!!!!".
On an overcast day the children gathered seashells.
After we collected seashells and cleaned them, the children used paint pens and glitter to decorate them.
A future artist??? 🙂
Ta-Da!!!!!
What a pefect thing for the children to do while on an overcast rainy day!
On sunny day's we hung out at the beach. Vivi is not super crazzy about the sand and it was soooo HOT! She stayed with me most of the time, while Grant played in the sand and played "Duck Duck Goose" with Grace and other children.
When not at the beach we were spending time at the boardwalk. We would pull the kids in big wagon. It was the BEST idea ever!!! After the children would get hot and tired they would want to be carried. OUCH! My back would hurt! So having the wagon with us was perfect!!!
Some fun random boardwalk shots.
Even tho it was overcast it was the BEST time to go. The temps were way cooler and much more managable.
We took the children to the local aquarium. These are some darling shots!
Grant peeking out of an old diver suit.
Several of the small towns and beach homes on the Jersey shore are TDF!!! There is a quaint and pretty area named "Bay Head" where we would just walk around and take in all the pretty scenery and "oooh & aaah" over the gorgeous homes.
I would have love to have been able to photoshop the wires and pole out of the photo. The home is just AMAZING!!! I couldnt help but take a picture.
Gorgeous manicured gardens & flowers everywhere!!!!
These hydrangeas are stunning!!!!
*SIGH* nothing more beautiful than a white picket fence and flowers.
After I was about to faint over the amazing homes, we stopped for lunch.
The restaurant has a sweet little grassy area for the child to entertain themselves while waiting for lunch. Grant, Grace, and Ella would hold hands and run back and forth just giggling and smiling. Than, they would take a break and play "ring around the rosey". Vivi unfortunately is not in the photo because she was back at the house taking a much needed nap!
Of course we ladies had some "adult time". One evening we planned for a nice couples dinner out. Craig, Dawn, Me, and hubby Curtis.
We dined at a super yummy restaurant called "Teresa South" which is located in Bay Head.
The restaurant is BYOB (they only serve wine and beer), so low and behold right across the street from the restaurant is "Curtis's Central Market Deli and Wine shop". My husband is standing so proudly holding his bottle of wine. The crazzy thing is ACROSS the street from Curtis's wine shop is "Curtis Court". We were ALL laughing so hard!!!! Is this a sign that we need to buy beach property up there???? tee! hee!
Making a toast!!!!
The ABSOLUTE *HIGHLIGHT* of the evening was Jenny, Aaron, (Everyday is a Holiday), and Jenny's incredible fun loving sister Missy JOINED us for dinner!!!! EEEEK!!!! It was the CHERRY on TOP of my week long trip!!!!!
We talked, laughed all night long!!! Hours flew by, and I didnt want the evening to end. The stories Aaron, Jenny and Missy were telling us had us in stitches!!!!
Can I just say how ADORABLE Jenny & Missy are!!!! Jenny is a poster child for Viva La Glam retro! She has the most beautiful porcelain skin, and red lips! Her hair!!! Blonde platinum doll hair!! Who am I kidding….She's is a DOLL!!!! Missy's personality is full of life and is infectious!!! She made us laugh like crazzy!!! Aaron….what a sweetie! He's a bit more reserved, so knowledgeable and genuinly sooooo KIND!!!
I met these guys three years ago at Silver Bella. Unfortunately, in a busy setting like that you dont really get a chance to spend quality time like we did our evening out. Im SO grateful for the one on one time I was able to spend with them. It truly was the highlight of my trip!!!!
Needless to say it was a fantastic week, and a pefect way to end the summer! Im glad to be home and so are the kids. Being off a routine is no fun for the kids and Mommy!
Now Im just attacking the piles of laundry and playing catch up on blogs this week, and getting ready to show ya some GREAT eye candy REAL soon!!!
Have a fabulous and creative week!

Jennnn!!!!
After an excruciatingly long & hot work-week…just that one night…those few short hours out with you and yours…totally erased every bit of stress from our minds and ache from our bones! Jenn…you truly are one of the absolute sweetest, kindest, and most easy to love people I’ve ever met. And Aaron agrees with my assessment of you 100%. I really can gush about you for six paragraphs…but being that this is just a comment, I’ll try to keep it brief. Me, Aar, and Missy can’t thank you guys enough for inviting us out to share in your summer fun. For starters, we got a big kick out of Curtis. He is a total crack-up and I bet we only saw the tip of the iceberg! And everything you told us about Dawn was spot-on! She’s so easy to talk to and she makes friends with every one she meets! yup…nailed it. And Craig was great…again, much like Curtis, I think we only got to see a hint of his hilarious personality.
My only regret is that we didn’t get to meet Miss Viv and that cutie pie Grant. Me and Aar go “awwwwwww” to their photos on a daily basis. Well, hopefully we’ll meet them next year!
I just want to say that you captured the Jersey Shore perfectly with your photos. I’d say this is a fab blog entry even if I wasn’t a part of it! So now I’m saying thanks not just from me but hopefully I’m speaking for a good portion of blogland that hasn’t commented: Thanks for sharing you amazing trip with us! Once again you dazzle us with your crisp images and sweet thoughts. This is what blogging is all about. Thanks for bringing us all to the Shore with you!!
Really, you have no idea how much love we have for you over here. Aaron brings you up all through the day. He’s always saying how easy you are to talk to and how you can instantly make people feel like life long friends. Well, I’ll save the rest for my blog! Thanks so much again!
xoxo, Jenny and Aaron
What a fun time, it looks beautiful there. I love all the pictures of the kids, adorable.
Hugs,
Kathy
Hey sweet girl,
your photos are wonderful. Looks like you had a great time! Sorry, I bugged ya right in the middle of all that fun. 🙂
So, are you & Curtis gonna pack up the family & move? tee-hee. 3rd retreat at the shore sounds lovely!
hugs, Joanna
PS. So jealous… you had dinner with Jenny & Aaron!
Hi Jenn,
I read about your blog in Artful Blogging and I’m so glad I followed thru and looked at your lovely blog. To answer a question you posed above: Yes! You should buy one of those amazing homes — especially the one with the BIG front porch — a perfect place to live & love. Amy Arnaz
WHat a great time you had! Love Love those pics of the homes. I would have been drooling too! Wish a was little closer, AZ is a little far away. Maybe one day I’ll get to Georgia.
Hugs, Tricia
Nice pictures, thanks for sharing! It looks like so much fun, I want to go!
Where do I begin?
What fun you guys got to spend time with Dawn and Craig! They’re so sweet, I hope I get to see them and you guys again one day soon.
Those houses – holy moly, that’s my kinda dream home!!! DROOLING here, badly!
The shells – oh how sweet, those kiddies are adorable and I miss your little munchkins!!!
And you got to finally meet up again with Jenny!! YAY, what fun!
Miss you lovely girl xoxox
Ohhhhh wish I was there right now- even in the rain. Hope to get over to Spring lake, NJ this week. Did you get to peak at Spring lake or the adorable Ocean Grove with the tents??
What a fun and fabulous trip! I am so glad you had a great time. Jenny is so darn cute!!! So are the kids playing at the beach!
